New NPC in Umburhearth

There's a new NPC in the tavern in Umburhearth. I know this bastard wasn't here because my player home was in this town in S3. He's not anywhere on the wiki. Someone else come check this shit out.

He's the one in the corner wearing a red version of the Robes of Defilement.

All I'm getting from him are cryptic "it's not your time yet" type responses, so i'm probably missing some prerequisite to interact with this guy properly? But yeah I see him too

He's giving me similar messages, though I think "Watch your step Paragon" is a paladin specific line.

I think the most specific one I got ("I won't welcome you back. You don't belong here") is either from
1) my sequence breaking the main story quest (like probably everyone else who wants to skip the Breathless Shores runaround, lol), or
2) from this technically being an alt account, since i wasn't playing on 5 before

Its not SUPER impressive when even skyrim city guards can do that, but I always found this kind of dialogue switch cool

Talked to him with the not class and got "It's never coming back"

I got curious and switched my client to german (to see how well the various translations hold up now that I know english better) & he uses the plural "you" here? Either a localisation mishap or my hunches were off I guess

(On a related note: real glad i play this in english, all the place names are CHEESE CITY in the translation. Like the Moorquoise Marshes? They just called it "Blaumoor", just "blue swamp", no ring to it at all, great job )

He keeps saying "More beast than man, begone."

He's lucky that he's in a safe zone

alright so whoever coded this NPC thinks they're a really funny guy or there's some weird stuff in the code

i got a couple of the ones mentioned earlier but i think for some reason it's registering me as a blood warrior to him? the specific dialogue bits i get are like. blood warrior lore related which is clearly wrong

This is either someone on these forums trolling the hell out of us or something weird is going on, if anyone with a different class wants to see his unique lines make sure to tell us about them.

He tells Herbslayers "The roots run deeper than you know..."

Any one else think he's kinda rocking the Robes of Defilement though?

Just made it to Umburhearth today on the "Main Story Questline", and after spotting this post I figured I would try to interact with him and see for myself. Mostly pretty canned dialogue, although I think I found two unique lines (at the very least, lines that haven't been mentioned here yet):

"Your quick wit and sharp steel will prove useful in the coming days..." (A response that I assume keys off of the fact that I'm playing a Swordfighter.)

"Your time has not yet come, fledgling warrior." (I assume this specific dialogue is because of my lower level, although it sounds somewhat similar to responses others have noted? It stood out enough to me to seem worth mentioning.)

Oh, I also think I exhausted his dialogue tree now, all he says is the same response.

"It arrives."

Maybe a teaser for some new content? I'd be so thrilled if this game started back up in earnest again, although I was pretty sure someone else said that the company who owned this thing was bought out or something of the like?
